Becoming a member
Membership in the National Association of Professional Race Directors (the “Association”) is limited to individuals who have primary responsibility for promoting/producing/managing an Eligible Event. An Eligible Event may be represented by one or more individuals. As per the NAPRD Bylaws an “Eligible Event” is a competitive road cycling event that meets all of the following requirements:

- An event held (or to be held) under a valid race permit issued by either USA Cycling or the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI);
- An event venued in the United States;
- An event held (or to be held) in the current calendar year or within two years prior to the current calendar year.
If you meet the above requirements, the next step is to complete the member application. Applications are reviewed monthly during board meetings, which are the 2nd Monday of each month. Approved applicants will receive a confirmation email from the board.
Member Meetings and Benefits
- NAPRD meets virtually on the 3rd Monday of each month at 11am EST.
- Annual 2 day conference held in November each year in the location of one of our members' events.
- Member Resource Google folder- member directory, budget, tech guide, and build guide examples, team contact list, preferred vendor list, USA Cycling/LA contact list
- Ability to add member-organized USA Cycling-sanctioned events to the calendar on the NAPRD website (not yet uploaded for 2026)
- Access to Endurance Sportswire subscription
- Access to NAPRD private Slack channel
Membership structure and dues
- Membership is $150 annually. This fee is for one individual who represents an event, the primary member. If an event is organized by multiple individuals, you may add additional seats to your membership for a fee of $50 each. These seats have access to all member benefits except for voting. Voting will be done by the primary member only. If there are multiple seats, it is up to the primary member to confer with their seats before voting.
Membership Renewal
- Current members will receive an email in January to renew their memberships for the current calendar year. Members may add seats to their membership when renewing, or at any time during the year.
